Yes, absolutely. Our natural fragrance formulations are 100% natural and free from petrochemicals, solvents, phthalates, formaldehyde releasing preservatives and parabens.
Petrochemicals are chemical products derived from petroleum. Most fragrances are made from petrochemicals. Their usage has caused allergic reactions including eye, nose, throat irritation, headaches, dizziness and nausea.
Phthalates are chemical compounds used in perfumes, cosmetics, lotions, shampoos, conditioners and nail polish.
For example, diethyl phthalate, or DEP, is widely used in cosmetic fragrances to make the scent last longer. This chemical is not required to be listed in the ingredient list, and can often be disguised under the term “fragrance”. Phthalates are endocrine disruptors and have been known to interfere with the body’s hormone functions.
Parabens are widely used as preservatives by the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries to discourage the growth of microbes. Parabens are also used as fragrance ingredients. Parabens may interfere with hormone function.
Chemical solvents are added to candle fragrances to dissolve synthetic ingredients. Solvents are commonly used because they increase scent throw and improve candle burning times. We do not add any chemical solvents to our natural fragrance formulations.
Premium fragrance oils are synthetic in nature and never used by Blisume.
